  Yes, first step apologize to your son, my son was DF'd 20 yrs. I called and reinstated him he was in stunned silence. He's at our home this moment. Friday night we sat on the patio and smoked cigars and just talked for the first time. We laughed, we cried we cussed we connected. It was fantastic.

  Joe maybe right, not sure. I think most of us came to believe the veracity of the bible thought the prism of the WT, now everything, and I mean everything is in question. I'm sure you have done the standard 'get out of jail'reading, C of C by Ray Franz, jw facts, etc. get Lloyd Evans new book ( he needs the help) great read. It will help you unwind your mind.

  You got good advise earlier in this post, go at your own speed, but don't waste anymore time than you have to, the Freedom is worth it.

  As ' Slick Willy' used to say 'we feel your pain' the difference it we really mean it.

  you are correct, it is not policy. I should have said JC letter, however I have seen at least 2 letters over the years sent informing of DF. I have in my 46 years seen many things that "never, ever happened" as I'm sure most ex-elders out there can attest to.

  Hi Steve 2, if they feel they have sufficient evidence and I would say calling the Governing Body shit eaters is a cardinal sin in their minds. If you refuse to meet with them they can disfellowship you in abstensia and sometimes inform you by letter.
